Hope Church offers children’s classes (K-12) and adult classes taught by Pastor Taylor Bradley, our Elders, and church members.  We approach Sunday School instruction by following Proverbs 9:9-10.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;  teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.   ~Proverbs 9:9-10

Adult Elective

Spring/Summer Quarter (March 2020 – August 2020)

Calvin called the Psalms “an anatomy of all parts of the soul.” They express in heightened language the depth and breadth of the human experience. Over the past nine weeks, we have looked at the Psalms of lament. We have discovered the richness of lament, and how needed it is as a spiritual discipline. But now as the world awakens from its quarantine, and we move to get back to some sense of normalcy, its appropriate that we shift and begin to look at other genres of Psalms. So throughout the summer, we will continue to work our way through the psalms looking first at psalms of thanksgiving, then moving to hymns, praise, and ending with a look at some of the royal Messianic psalms. Throughout our study, we will be looking in-depth at the form of each Psalm genre, some of its characteristics, and how those should inform both our worship and prayer. We will also look in-depth at content, seeing how the psalmist teaches us about emotions, about spiritual struggles, and the language they use to express praise, adoration, and trust in God. So please join me, Pastor Taylor Bradley, each Wednesday evening at 7 PM for a study through the Psalms. The zoom link for these meetings is the same each week. If you are not on Hope’s prayer chain, these can be made available to you on request. Please email pastor@hopenepa.org for more information.

Youth Ministry

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

Our Youth ministry (grades 8-12) is called Y.E.S. (Youth Enjoying the Savior).

YES is currently led by Kenn Anderson and Rebecca Twombly. The youth enjoy many fun activities as well as participate in community service oriented activities such as highway cleanup and assisting with other church ministries.
